Kristen Bell Does the Happy Dance with CBD Skin Care Line

“What does Happy Dance feel like?” asks actress Kristen Bell, in the promo video for her new hemp-based skin care line. “It feels like having the strength to watch the same kid’s movie seventeen more times this week.”

“It’s a metaphor,” she whispers, turning to the camera. “It’s the rich, luxurious feeling of having successfully kept another person alive for four years, three months and 26 says.”

Developed with CBD brand Lord Jones, Happy Dance is promoted as lean, simple hemp-derived skincare and personal care products. The launch offering includes a CBD body butter (200mg of CBD), a CBD coconut melt (225mg of CBD) and a bath bomb (60mg of CBD) that are retail priced $15-$30.

The actress (Frozen, Veronica Mars, The Good Place) and mom of two — three, counting husband and former Punk’d star Dax Shepard, knows a thing or two about needing a break from career and family life. Like many, she admits to being skeptical of CBD products — that is until she tried them.

“I first discovered Lord Jones CBD products two years ago and have been using them ever since,” says Bell. “I was skeptical at first, but was quickly blown away by the quality, integrity and consistency in all of the products. When I met Lord Jones founders Rob & Cindy, we aligned on a shared desire to make a CBD line that would be accessible to a wider audience at a lower price point while maintaining the same trusted quality as the Lord Jones brand.”

“Self-care shouldn’t be an event,” adds Bell. “Self-care should consist of everyday pick-me-ups that can be integrated into one’s daily routine.”

Lord Jones will continue its third-party testing on its Happy Dance products, but also leaned on Bell’s plant-based diet and lifestyle for ingredient formulation and vegan and cruelty-free positioning.

Additionally, Happy Dance has partnered with A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project, a Black-owned organization that provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services, advocacy and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after prison. One percent of profits from all products sold on the Happy Dance website (doahappydance.com) will benefit the organization.

“We couldn’t imagine a better partner than Kristen,” says Lord Jones CEO and founder Rob Rosenheck.  “Kristen has a singular voice and has always been outspoken about what she loves and believes. Her passion, authenticity and kindness will be at the core of Happy Dance and make her the perfect messenger to bring CBD self-care to the mainstream.”
