Research by Leafly found that introduction of a new dispensary within a half‐mile radius of a new home increases home prices by approximately 7.7 percent on average. An overwhelming majority of studies—including one from the journal Preventive Medicine in 2018, and a Federal Reserve Bank 2017 paper—found no increase in crime related to the location of medical marijuana dispensaries or adult-use retail stores.
